Comment for Type of Reporting Person:  Included in the reported beneficial ownership of the Reporting Person are (i) 1,572,013 shares of common stock and (ii) 5,000,000 shares of common stock underlying options that are currently exercisable. Row 11 represents the percentage of the outstanding shares of common stock held by the Reporting Person based on 90,771,289 shares of common stock issued and outstanding, as reported by the Issuer in its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on December 11, 2025, increased by 5,000,000 shares underlying options exercisable within 60 days held by the Reporting Person. The Reporting Person has agreed with HCI Group, Inc. that he will not, without the consent of the board of directors of HCI Group, Inc., exercise such options to the extent that the exercise would cause HCI Group, Inc. to own less than 80.1% of the Issuer's outstanding shares of common stock.
